February 6th, 2018 - University of North Georgia, Cumming - CANCELLED Introduction to Wine
March 20th, 2018 - University of North Georgia, Cumming - Introduction to Wine
Do you like wine and want to take your enjoyment to the next level? In these two classes you will learn more about the history of wine and how it is made. We will also review the main types and styles of wines, the leading grape varieties, the wine industry in Georgia and common myths about wine.
The main focus will be on tasting wine, so we will be tasting a range of wines. As well as sampling six wines, you will learn the steps in tasting a wine and how to analyze what you find, all based upon a systematic structured method.
There will be two stand-alone sessions of three hours each, organized by the University of North Georgia. The material covered in the two courses will have a limited amount of overlapping material. In February, we will be concentrating on white wines, whilst March will be about red wines. For more information and to enroll, click on the links below
